From time to time I am involved in other neat projects outside the design world. This is my effort to keep them all collected in one place.

Tail of a Rainforest: Kiko and the Jungle Jewels

(Children's Book)

I have loved writing and telling stories since I was a young child, and Tail of a Rainforest was one of my projects at the age of thirteen. Although I had developed the characters over several years when I was much younger, this story was my first experiment in novel writing. The book follows the story of Kiko, a Rainbow Lizard in the rainforest and the last of her kind, who discovers several new friendships which are soon tested when their home is threatened.

The story was published in paperback when I was sixteen years old. It has since fallen out of print, though I am considering preparing it for a second print edition sometime in the future. Several further stories were planned and written as sequels, but never made it beyond the editing process.

There once was a section devoted to the book on this website, which I removed after the book was taken out of print. If there is enough interest, I may make more information on it available.

Messenger

(Webcomic)

Comics have always been an interest of mine, since they combine two things I love: graphics and storytelling. Messenger is my somewhat foolish first attempt at a graphic novel, which is published online on a weekly basis. It is a science fiction/fantasy story which takes place in an alternate future on Earth, where the world as we know it no longer exists, and no one quite remembers the reason for humanity's downfall.

Messenger recently saw its first printing via Lulu, and a second issue is currently in the works.
Although it is not yet available on Amazon, it can currently be purchased from Lulu.com.
